Heritage Arts Apprenticeship Program

Master Artists and Apprentices work together over one year (July-June) to teach and learn knowledge and skill related to a tradition in their community. Teams must commit to at least 100 hours of one-on-one time. Master Artists receive $4,000 honorarium, Apprentices receive $1,000, and teams may request up to $1,000 for materials and/or travel. Program includes quarterly Zoom meetings with staff, a midyear site visit for documentation, a public event presentation, and evaluation requirements.
