Grant to assist schools with getting a NASP program started. Grant provides up to 50% of equipment start-up costs for archery programs in schools. Schools must provide at least 50% matching funds from state, federal, or nongovernmental sources. Standard startup archery kit costs approximately $3,000 and includes 12 Genesis bows, five targets, five dozen arrows, an arrow curtain, bow rack, and repair kit. Training is provided at no cost but schools cover travel expenses. Annual recurring expenses range from $200-$500.
