Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Program Year 2023-24 (PY 23-24)

This program provides deaf and hard of hearing individuals with enhanced services and training in select America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM (AJCC) locations throughout California. The program will ensure effective communication and increased service opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing individuals by providing specialized counseling, interpretive services, job placement, follow-up services and advocacy, and specialized training to assist them in becoming job ready. The program is also designed to assist job-ready deaf and hard of hearing individuals in obtaining and retaining unsubsidized employment. The program also intends that interpretive services be provided to enable these individuals to receive other EDD-related services. Proposals must be received by 3 p.m. on September 5, 2023 . An informational webinar will be held on August 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is required. This webinar will be the final opportunity for applicants to ask specific questions regarding the SFP and the application process. Pre-registration is required for all participants.
