This Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program provides deaf and hard of hearing individuals with enhanced services and training in select America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) locations throughout California. The program will ensure effective communication and increased service opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing individuals by providing specialized counseling, interpretive services, job placement, follow-up services and advocacy, and specialized training to assist them in becoming job-ready. The program is also designed to assist job-ready deaf and hard of hearing individuals in obtaining and retaining unsubsidized employment. The program also intends that interpretive services be provided to enable these individuals to receive other EDD-related services.
