This funding opportunity will support programs addressing opioid use, stimulant use and polysubstance use in California’s communities, which have been impacted by the opioid and stimulant use disorder crises. While California has made significant progress in addressing the opioid epidemic, in 2024 there were still 5,462 overdose deaths reported1.The goals of this funding opportunity are to support awareness, outreach and education addressing opioids and stimulants, as well as polysubstance use, and to strengthen referral pathways to care and treatment services, including Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), in all communities across the state. We invite applications from community-based and nonprofit organizations that have a strong track record of delivering community outreach and education projects.
