The California Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks proposals for highest priority projects associated with NCCP implementation. The intention of this Proposal Solicitation Package is to solicit proposals of the highest quality that are consistent with the goals of the NCCP Program. To help achieve this intention, this Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) provides guidance on Applicant eligibility, the grant process and deadlines, and application and submission procedures. Eligible Applicants are Implementing Entities (IEs) that are implementing a CDFW-approved NCCP as or will be implementing an NCCP within 12 months of the release of this Proposal Solicitation Package. Public agencies, tribes, and non-profit organizations that have an interest in assisting with the implementation of Eligible Projects are also eligible. Proposals must address the highest priority tasks associated with the implementation of approved NCCPs or NCCPs that are likely to be approved by August 2021. Routine, on-going management activities are not eligible. Please refer to the following website for projects previously funded by the NCCP LAG Program: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Planning/NCCP/Grant-Funded-Projects. Important: Projects legally required as mitigation by a regulatory agency as a condition for a permit are not eligible for funding under this grant program. However, a project that is additive to any required mitigation and addresses a high-priority task for implementation of the NCCP is eligible for funding.
